Amul Sangeetha Mahayudham Winner - Cochin Warriors
On October 17th 2010 , the Grand Finale of Amul Sangeetha Mahayudham was telecasted in Surya TV from 8.30 pm to 11.30 pm. Sangeetha Mahayudham is a malayalam reality music show that was
being shown in Surya TV Channel from past few months.
Grand Finale competition was between the two teams , who have reached the finals
- Bhima Jewellery's Trivandrum Royals
- Confident Group's Cochin Warriors
There was a tight competition between these two teams. And at last Cochin Warriors won in the Surya TV's Sangeetha Mahayudham Grand Final competition.
After the 5 Rounds of songs , there was a Tie with the 2 teams Trivandrum Royals and Cochin Warriors. They got 112.5 points each. In this situation , both teams were asked to send one of their members to give a solo song performance. The highest points scoring team will be considered winner of Amul Sangeetha Mahayudham.
In this Tie breaker , Yasin of Cochin Warriors gave his solo performance and scored 29 points. After that , Vidhu Prathap of Trivandrum Royals decided to sent Poornashree for the final solo song. She sang the song "kannu thurakkatha daivangale" and scored 27 points.
Results of Amul Sangeetha Mahayudham came soon with Cochin Warriors winning the reality show.
Cochin Warriors got Total points of 141.5 and Trivandrum Royals got only 139.5 points.
Poorna Shree won the Cool Singer of the Day award in Amul Sangeetha Mahayudham who got 40 points in the Fourth Round.
Poornima Indrajith is the anchor of Sangeeta Mahayuddham Program in Surya TV. Saibaba Telefilms Pvt Ltd is producing this Kerala music reality show.
Today the one of these winners will become the champions of Sangeetha Mahayuddham.
Teams like Thrissur Thambrans , Kottayam Kings, Kozhikode Sultans, Kannur Masters did not reach the final event.
This is the first of this kind of program in malayalam tv program where a music reality show is made showcasing hot competition between singers as teams. India's famous music directors and singers have come together to participate in this competition of music war.
Vidhu
Prathap is the captain of the team Trivandrum Royals. Vidhu Prathap is a famous playback singer in South Indian films.
Members of his team are Poornashree, Nithin Raj, Sajin Jayaraj.
George Peter is the captain of the team Cochin Warriors. George Peter is a famous Music Director.
Members of his team are Keerthana, Yasin, Arun Naik.
In this Sangeetha Mahayudham program there were 6 teams. They were led by captains like,
- Unni Menon with his team Thrissur Thambrans
- Chitra Iyer with her team Kottayam Kings
- George Peter with his team Cochin Warriors
- Manjari with her team Kozhikode Sultans
- Sayanora with her team Kannur Masters
- Vidhu Prathap with his team Trivandrum Royals
In the end only Cochin Warriors and Trivandrum Royals were left to get into the grand finals of musical war.

Who is Poornashree Haridas ?
To answer this question i will have to write the Biography of Malayalam Young female singer Poornashree Haridas for you to get to know her better.
She was a Little Master in a music reality show conducted in Asianet for young singers before coming to Sangeetha Mahayudham in Surya TV.
She is getting good programs countries outside India. She also sang in many albums in devotional songs like Lord Ayyappa , Kannane Thedi and in many Mappilapattu songs.
Poornasri also sang in many malayalam movies. Poornashree is the female voice you hear in the song Annara Kanna Vaa in the movie Bhramaram.

Poornasree sang well , but unluckily Bhima Group Trivandrum Royals lost in Sangeetha Mahayudham Grand Finale. Cochin Warriors have won the Surya TV's Sangeetha Mahayudham.

George peter was rockin ... he deserve it ... such a complete package of songs for medley... beside poornasaree, all have done their part well .. i dnt think she alone to be praised .. she got enough awards more than her capacity ...

ONLY TRIVANDRUM ROYALS DERSERVE THIS..THEY WERE THE FIRST IN THE SERIES.JUDGEMENT WAS VERY VERY POOR.THEY DID'NT GIV MARKS ACCORDING TO THE PERFORMANCE.ARUN NAYAK HAS MADE LOTS OF MISTAKES IN HIS SOLO PERFORMANCE AND JUDGES GAVE HIM 9 MARKS EACH.THE MEDLEY ROUND OF TVM ROYALS WAS TOO GOOD,GUD CO-ORDINATION.THEY DESERVES FULL MARKS.BUT THAT JENSI JUDGE GAV ONLY 9 POINTS.THAT WAS PLANNED TO MAK A TIE.THE REAL WINNER IS TRIVANDRUM ROYALS..THEY ROCKS!!!!!POORNASREE WE LOVE U
Trivandrum Team deserved the prize. George Peter concentrated foreign language songs which Kerala audience do not like and should have considered for score. It is a bad precedent for future competitions.
The audience presented were not at all good. All seemed to be local non-malayalees who had no interest in music.

I was watching the recorded finals of mahayudham, they have totalled the score wrong...Vidhu prathaps team actually got 114 points and george peters team got only 112.5. it was not a tie, Vidhu prathap won actually...... its a shame that no one noticed it !!! I think they sang the best !!!
Congratulations Georgy. You guys deserve this prize. Cochin Warriors totally rocked the final performance. Trivandrum royalls were completely jack. They only got such high scores because of partial judgement. The audience SUCKED AT THIER SCORES. they cant do thier job correctly. Im sure that cochin warriors did not derserve the audience bad scores. Arun, Keerthina, Yaseen, DID SOO GOODD. unfortunately captains other than George Peter has only limited arms to fight with.It is not any of george's fault.Music has no language or barrier.Any one is free to acquire that knowledge.When you look at western music;Harmony plays a prominent part which can not be bought.It has to be there in your system.No wonder the legend A.R.Rahman had faith in George's capability to entrust him with his songs ,to harmonize.

Dear Sun Network and program organizer thanks for bringing such a thriller reality show .but unfortunality we have noticed some unfair judgment by the none players team on the elimination round and the previous round against to Anwar Mega Mix
Anwar and Rahul is good singers and they tried to bring more varieties and non- common songs which was made us enjoyable and all the last rounds they sang very well to being for the safe zone, unfortunality the non- playing teams or (judges) played good game to make Anwar teams out from the competition, and It was really upset for us as viewers, to making the dirty game against one team it’s not at all acceptable
Know we will quit watching Surya TV programs unless we get the explanation about the dirty games and bring back Anwar Mega Mix to same competition on the same program.
the difference between all the teams and cochin was yasin .. i remeber he was the only singer to have competed with the team captains sayanora and manjari and dont forget he got full marks and beat manjari in the solo singing in an earlier episode and took histeam win and he made all the differsnc , poornasree is a littele girl got a long way to go . she saved tvm proud.
Poornima who s the anchor,always tries to put down George Peters teams performance.Time to keep a new anchor.The latest episodes marking scheme for georges team was really bad.They were not given marks they deserved.Its clear that everyone on the judging panel are gealous of George Peter.No one has ever brought a good fusion like that of georges.U rock man U rock....
