2010 Commonwealth Games Athletics Events, Schedules, Results

2010 Commonwealth Games Athletics will start from Wednesday , 6th October 2010 and finish on 14th October 2010. A total of 69 medals are there for athletes to win from Commonwealth Games Athletics. Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony 2010 Delhi

This hub will give you a good information on the Commonwealth Games Athletics events. Athletic events like Track and Field events , Marathon.etc will be conducted at the Delhi Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

In Athletics competition the medals will be given after Semi finals, Finals. Walking Event will take place at India Gate. In this walking race event of 20 to 50 km , 2 gold medals will be for men and 1 gold medal for women winner.

In Track and Field Athletics there will be many sports events like discus throwing, hammer throw, discus, javelin,shot put , pole vault, high jump, long jump, triple jump , long distance running ,middle distance sprints, hurdle races , relay.

Athletics events for men and women will be conducted separately.

There are 23 gold medals, silver and bronze medals to be win in Men's Athletics events.

Marathon games are scheduled on October 14th 2010.

Track and Field games will be on October 6 th and 12th 2010.

Walk competition will take place on 9th October 2010.

Combined - Decathlon

Road - Marathon, 20 km Walk

Women Athletics in 2010 Commonwealth Games will participate in following sports competition.

Training Stadiums for Athletes to undergo warm ups ,exercises and training are the Chatrasal Stadium , Games Village , Thyagaraj Sports Complex , Delhi University.
