Asian Beach Games 2010 Muscat - Medals Tally

When the 2010 Asian Beach games at Muscat was completed , Thailand is in the first place with 15 gold medals , 10 silver and 11 bronze medals and total of 36 medals.

China is in the second place standing with 12 gold and 6 silver and 5 bronze medal and total of 23 medals. .

Oman is in the third place with 5 gold , 3 silver and 7 bronze medals and total of 15 medals. .

India has won 3 gold and 1 bronze medal in Asian Beach games at Muscat and is in the 6th place in the Medals Tally table.

In 2010 Asian Beach Games will take place from 8th to 16th December 2010.

The 2nd Asian Beach Games will be hosted by Muscat in Oman.

This competition will be held every 2 years and it was started first 2 years before in Bali in Indonesia in October 2008.

The venues of Asian Beach Games in Muscat 2010 will be spread over the 1 million sq m in the Al-Musannah Sports City.

Wudam Al Sahil near Muscat will be the Venue of Asian Beach Games 2010.

Opening ceremony of Second Asian Beach games Muscat 2010 was held on 08 December 2010.

Now the closing ceremony of 2010 Muscat Asian Beach games will be on 16 December 2010 and the official closing of the sports venue Al-Musannah Sports City will be on 20th December 2010.

Beach Volleyball

Beach Volleyball is an unavoidable in any beach games. In 2008 at Bali in Indonesia , Thailand won in Women's Volleyball.

Schedule of Beach Volleyball in 2010 Asian Beach Games is from 9th to 16th December.

Beach Soccer

In Beach Soccer , Oman was the winner in 1st Asian beach games. There will be only Men's beach soccer games.

Beach Soccer games will be held from 8th to 16th December.

Marathon Swimming

In 1st Asian Beach games , Syria won in Men’s Race events. China won in Women’s race events. Marathon Swimming will be held on 9th and 11th December.

Sailing

Sailing events will include Laser Radial Open and Hobie 16 Open.

In 2008 Korea won in Windsurfing RSX men’s event. In 2010 Muscat Games Women's events will also be included. Sailing and windsurfing sports events will be the major attraction of 2010 Asian Beach games.

Sailing will be held from 9th to 13th December.

Beach Handball

In Beach Handball event that took place in 1st Asian beach games , Pakistan was the winner in Men's Beach Handball and China was the winner in Women's Beach Handball.

Beach Handball will be held from 9th to 16th December

Beach Woodball

In Bali 2008 Asian Beach Games , Singapore won in Men's Individual Beach Woodball and Malaysia won in Men's Team Beach Woodball event.

In Women's Beach Woodball events , China won gold medals in all Women's events.

Beach Woodball will be held from 10th to 13th December

Bodybuilding

This is a new vent in Asian Beach games and will be having only Men's events. Various competition inclued in Body Building events will be categories like 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg , 85kg.

Body Building will be held on 10th to 11th December

Waterski

Waterski competition includes surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding , water skiing events.

Waterski will be held from 14th to 15th December

Beach Waterpolo

In Beach Waterpolo in last Asian Beach games Kazakhstan was the winner in Men’s event, There will be only Men's Beach Water polo Event in Asian beach games.

Beach Waterpolo will be held from 8th to 12th December

Beach Kabaddi

In 1st Asian beach games , India was the winner in Men's and Women's Kabaddi.

Kabaddi is traditionally played even in villages in India and so as every one knows , India is powerful in this sports event.

Beach Kabaddi will be held from 12th to 16th December

Tent Pegging

Tent Pegging sports will be included in asian beach games for the first time in Muscat 2010.

Various events in Tent Pegging are,

1. Individual / team lance
2. Individual / team sword
3. Individual rings and pegs lance
4. Individual lemons and pegs sword
5. Pairs lance file
6. Indian sword file

Tent Pegging will be held on 9 , 10 , 12 and 13th December

Jetski Sport

Kuwait won in Runabout 800 open events and Thailand won in events like runabout endurance, runabout open and ski open in 2008 Bali Asian Beach games.

Other events included in Jetski Sport are

1. Pro Runabout Open
2. Pro Runabout 785 Open
3. Pro Ski Open
4. Pro Runabout Endurance

Jetski Sport will be held from 14th to 16th December

Beach Sepaktakraw

Last time in Bali Asian Beach games , Thailand was the winner in Men’s and Women’s Beach Sepaktakraw event.

Beach Sepaktakraw will be held from 9th to 11th December and 13th to 16th December

Triathlon

In 1st Asian beach games Hong Kong, China won in Men’s triathlon and China won in women’s triathlon.

Triathlon will be held on 16th December.

In 2008 at Bali , Asian Beach games Indonesia was the topper in medals tally with 23 gold medals , 8 silver , 20 bronze medals. Thailand came in 2nd place with 10 gold and China in 3rd place with 6 gold medals.

There will be 3 Official mascots for the 2010 Asian Beach Games are Green Turtle, Houbara , Tahr.

Green Turtles are found mostly in Oman seas.They will represent the Sea Games in Asian Beach Games 2010.

Tahr is found in rocky slopes and will be representing the Land games in this event.

Houbara is a bird found in deserts and will represent the beautiful glimpses of Oman.

Muscat is the capital of Oman. Oman is a country surrounded by Arabian Sea and Gulf of Oman. Oman has beautiful Omani forts , beaches , desserts , dolphins , turtles.

Among the games mascots Al-Jebel , Al-Reeh , Al-Med  > > Al-Jebel is voted as the most favorite mascot for this games.

The 3rd Asian Beach games will be held in Haiyang in 2012. The 4th Asian Beach games will be held in Boracay in 2014. The 5th Asian Beach games will be held in Phuket in 2016.
